Speaking to the American Business Women’s Association About Life-First Leadership

Building a successful business shouldn’t require constant burnout or putting life on hold. That belief was at the center of my recent talk with the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA), where I spoke about Life First leadership and the role strong systems play in sustainable growth.

During this conversation, I shared how intentional organization, clear priorities, and well-built backend systems allow business owners to grow without losing themselves in the process. As an Online Business Manager, my work focuses on helping entrepreneurs replace chaos with clarity so their businesses can support their lives, not consume them.

The feature, published in The Dunlap Tribune, highlighted the importance of stepping back, evaluating how a business is truly operating, and making thoughtful changes that align with both professional goals and personal values. It also reinforced something I see daily in my client work: when leaders give themselves permission to build smarter systems, everything improves.

Speaking with ABWA was a reminder of how powerful community, shared experiences, and intentional leadership can be for women navigating business ownership.
